A: reading manga works in magazines, or watching cartoons/animations after school, drawing or making claywork in kindergarten art classes.  


Q: I first realized I wanted to be an artist when…

A: noticing I would forget about time & myself while drawing during my childhood.


Q: My mentors are/were…

A: the many artists I met along the way in school or in the large NYC art community, who continue to commit to creating their personal artwork unapologetically in their own medium for whatever time they have and ways to survive.


Q: I feel most inspired to create when…

A: there is no duty to respond in communications.

A: just go ahead and start creating on the empty space with any medium.

A: many, but from my experiences in the large art community, it’s better not to point any specific ones out of the many and exclude others, out of respect.

A: a cup of coffee, to start any communications for the day.

A: an editioned relief painting of Manga artist Tezuka Osamu’s Phoenix series. My mother bought it for me after we visited the Tezuka Osamu World Exhibition in Kyoto Train Station, Japan, during my teenage years.
